Background Educational sociology is a branch of sociology We understand the role of Education in different sociological perspectives given by different schools of thought. Sociological lens tells us what the impact of Education on wider society is. Questions: Q1 Look at the following two sociological perspectives and explain with help of examples how each school of thought explains educational system when applied to Pakistani society: Functionalist Approach Critical Approach Introduction to Sociology of Education-II (7+7=14) Q2 In your point of view which school of thought is more applicable to the current educational system of Pakistan and why?
