To learn how to analyze the real world events with reference to macro environment. ASSIGNMENT Civil Society is considered as third sector separate from business and government. According to World Bank’s definition of Civil Society, it includes wide array of non-governmental and not for profit organizations. Civil Society provides a platform to various groups and sections of society for diverse activities. It is an active and effective component of society which has multiple motives like keeping check and balance on government’s authority, creating awareness, educating citizens and policy advocacy. Civil Society also plays a vital and dynamic role in promoting and strengthening democracy in any country. Mature democracies of the world like USA, UK, France, and Germany are examples of it as these countries have active and vibrant civil societies. Keeping in view these mature democracies of the world, you are required to identity and explain the roles which Civil Society can play in establishing and strengthening the democracy of any country.
