ISLAMABAD – Qatar Enhances Tourism with New Travel-Friendly Policies
Qatar is making strides to boost its tourism sector by offering a range of modern amenities, scenic beaches, and vibrant attractions. As part of its national strategy, Qatar aims to welcome six million tourists by 2030, increasing tourism’s contribution to the national GDP from 7% to 12%.
In a bid to attract more visitors, Qatar has introduced a visa-free entry policy for over 80 countries, including Pakistan. This policy allows Pakistani citizens to enjoy a 30-day stay in Qatar upon arrival without the need for a prior visa.
For Pakistani travelers to benefit from this visa-free arrangement, they must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Passport: The traveler’s passport should have a validity of at least six months.
- Return Ticket: A confirmed return ticket is necessary.
- Financial Proof: A valid debit or credit card is required. For families traveling together, the card must be in the name of one of the travelers or one per family.
- Accommodation: Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation must be provided.
- Health Requirement: Passengers arriving directly from Pakistan must present a certificate of vaccination against polio.
The visa waiver is issued free of charge and is non-extendable, allowing visitors a straightforward and hassle-free entry into the country. This move is part of Qatar’s broader efforts to enhance its tourism infrastructure and offer an inviting experience for international guests.
