Graded Discussion Board for Bilingualism ENG512 will be opened from January 27-28, 2020.

The topics for the GDB are:

1. Language shift or maintenance does not happen in a vacuum, it occurs only when certain societal conditions are present. Based on the given concept, it is supposed by the experts that the usage of Urdu is losing its place in institutions compared to English. Discuss.

OR

2. Miss Nasira employs number of activities in target (English) language in a bilingual setting. She is also used to do such activates on regular basis in pairs and groups to practice. Some parents came to see her after first term to complain that their children are lacking in learning due to the continuous instructions in target language by the teacher. The parents are concerned about why their children are discussing their problems with their fellow children instead of the teacher. Keeping this in mind answer the following question:

What Miss Nasira was needed to do in a bilingual setting (classroom)?
