What is the Furanose Configuration and Beta configuration. Kindly explain these terms.

Furanose is a collective term for carbohydrates that have a chemical structure that includes a five-membered ring system consisting of four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. Beta configuration is the configuration of a cyclic sugar where the oxygen on the anomeric carbon is on the same face of the ring as the substituent on the other carbon flanking the ring oxygen.

What is the Multiple Sclerosis. I couldn’t grasp this. Kindly explain this disease.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).

In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves.

Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms.

There’s no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease and manage symptoms.

Asher’s story refers to the story of a baby, Asher James DeBouver who was born with a congenital heart disease called Aortic Stenosis. While scaffolding in general means a structure providing support. The best example of scaffolding in biology is the repair of a broken bone (fracture). An initial temporary structure is made by the body called the pro callus. On this further growth takes place. And it undergoes intensive remodelling.

A nucleoside consists of a nitrogenous base covalently attached to a sugar (ribose or deoxyribose) but without the phosphate group so it can be present in DNA or RNA. Also, DNA can be matched with our parents but some features and characters are present throughout the family as you may have known and seen that many families have a particulkar disease running through them like Diabetes, Blood pressure issues, Hairfall etc.

One gene for one trait is possible while its also possible that mutiple genes control a single trait and this phenomenon is called as Polygenic inheritance.

AUG is the most common START codon and it codes for the amino acid methionine (Met) in eukaryotes and formyl methionine (fMet) in prokaryotes.

Pitx1 or Tbx4 are thought to be responsibkle for leg development in hen.
