COMMUNICATION AND CULTURE
The way people live or the life style of people in a particular area is denoted as their culture. This includes their living habits, eating and cooking style, dressing up, language they speak in, social values and traditions they observe along with the religion they follow.
Task: Keeping in mind the definition of culture differentiates the “popular culture” and “Consumer culture” by selecting any five images from the print media (magazines) and pastes these images in the given table below.

• Consider Mag, She, Akhbar-e-jahan and Family magazines for this assignment.
• Logical arguments regarding the selection of the particular picture or images.

Electronic media in Pakistani society is three dimensional: Informing the public, educating the knowledgeable and providing entertainment for the whole society. TV has gained very significant position in our society due to its content. It enlightens the political, social, economic and all other issues of the country through coverage, analysis and in various infotainment programs. The use of combination (verbal & nonverbal) communication transferred a written piece into a visual communication which leaves strong impact on the mind of audience. The style and the frame work within which TV programs are presented on screens good-looking and attractive popular celebrities tailoring programs to suitable lengths, images and build opinion regarding socio political issues. Tailored words give emphasis with the help of framed visuals of media products.
Task: Watch the infotainment programs “Mazaq Raat” and “Hasb-e-Hall” which has been broadcasted on leading news channel of “Dunyia News” and identify the following parameters;
